Hebrew: רע“ם (HaReshima HaAravit HaMeuchedet) · Leader: Mansour Abbas
Islamist in origin but pragmatic in practice; made history in 2021 as the first Arab party to formally join an Israeli governing coalition (Bennett-Lapid government), prioritizing funding and services for Arab municipalities over national/territorial politics. Its Bedouin voter base is relatively more open to national/civil service than other Arab-Israeli constituencies.
- Polling: roughly 5 seats.
- 2025 development: Abbas announced Ra’am would formally cut ties with outside Islamic organizations.
- 2026 development: former Yesh Atid MK Yoav Segalovitz — a Jewish politician and former deputy minister for public security, credited with helping reduce crime in Arab-Israeli communities in that role — resigned from Yesh Atid and from the Knesset itself in early August 2026 amid talks with Abbas about joining Ra’am’s slate. Abbas has confirmed the two held “a cordial and positive discussion” and agreed to continue talks, but as of this writing Segalovitz has not formally joined — the move would be an attempt to broaden Ra’am’s appeal beyond an exclusively Arab electorate.
